Ontario - Ministry of Labour Releases New ESA Poster February 09 2018
The Ministry of Labour has revised and released the ESA poster which requires all Employers to post in a conspicuous place where it is likely to come to the attention of all employees. The revised poster reflects the significant changes that are now in effect due to Bill 148, the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act. In addition to posting the ESA poster, Employers should be reminded of the following responsibilities:
- Provide a copy to employees who are covered under the ESA;
- Provide a copy to new hires within 30 days of hire;
- Provide a copy of the poster in a language other than English if requested by the employee.
