Ontario - Proposed Changes to Employment Requirements November 16 2023
On November 6, 2023, the Ontario government announced that it will introduce new legislation that if passed, would require employers to include expected salary ranges in job postings and require businesses to disclose if artificial intelligence (AI) is used during their hiring process. Further, the government will also be conducting consultations and detailed analysis on ending the use of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) in the settlement of cases of workplace sexual harassment, misconduct or violence, to help end workplace misconduct and hold abusers accountable.

Ontario – Changements proposés aux exigences en matière d’emploi
Le 6 novembre 2023, le gouvernement de l’Ontario a annoncé qu’il introduira un nouveau projet de loi qui, s’il est adopté, obligera les employeurs à indiquer les échelles salariales prévues dans les postes affichés et exigera que les entreprises divulguent le recours à l’intelligence artificielle (IA) lors du processus d’embauche. De plus, pour aider à mettre fin aux inconduites en milieu de travail et tenir les personnes qui les commettent responsables de leurs actes, le gouvernement mènera des consultations et une analyse détaillée sur la fin des accords de non-divulgation dans le règlement des cas de harcèlement sexuel, d’inconduite ou de violence en milieu de travail.
