British Columbia: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation becomes a Statutory Holiday August 16 2023
The Government of British Columbia has announced that the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will be recognized as a Statutory Holiday in the province. Beginning in 2023, on September 30 employers are to observe the statutory holiday by providing employees with a paid day off or provide payment at premium rates if employees are required to work.
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is now recognized as a statutory holiday in British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon, and the Federal jurisdiction.

Colombie-Britannique : La Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation devient un jour férié
Le gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique a annoncé que la Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation est maintenant reconnue comme un jour férié dans la province. À compter de 2023, le 30 septembre, les employeurs devront célébrer ce jour férié en offrant à leurs employés un jour de congé payé ou un taux de salaire majoré si ces derniers doivent travailler.
La Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation est actuellement reconnue comme un jour férié en Colombie-Britannique, à l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard, dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest, au Nunavut et au Yukon, ainsi qu’au sein des sociétés de compétence fédérale.

The Government of the Northwest Territories has amended the Employment Standards Act (ESA) to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 annually, beginning in 2022

Le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest a modifié la Loi sur les normes d'emploi (LNE) afin d'observer la Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation le 30 septembre de chaque année, à compter de 2022.
