PEI – Bill 119 takes effect on June 1 May 11 2022
On June 1, 2022, Bill 119 will take effect and will introduce pay transparency to the Employment Standards Act. Pay Transparency introduced the following legislation to the ESA:
- Will require employers to include information about the expected pay or range of expected pay for any position that is advertised externally.
- Employers are unable to seek pay history information about a candidate, either personally or through an agent.

En effet, le projet de loi 119 entrera en vigueur le 1er juin 2022 et introduira la transparence salariale dans la Loi sur les normes d’emploi, et exigera notamment :
- que les employeurs incluent des informations sur le salaire attendu ou la fourchette de salaire attendu pour tout poste annoncé à l’extérieur ; et
- que les employeurs ne puissent chercher à obtenir des informations sur les antécédents salariaux d’un(e) candidat(e), que ce soit personnellement ou par l’intermédiaire d’un agent.
